Anwar meeting with US trade rep
centres on economic cooperation, quality investment
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had a discussion on February 16, 2023, with US Trade Representative (USTR) Katherine Tai to find a solution for overcoming uncertainties in the global economy and financial markets.
According to a post on Anwar’s official Twitter account, their discussion focused on enhancing economic cooperation, addressing trade facilitation issues, and attracting high-quality investments to Malaysia.
As a result, we believe that more attractive investment policies will be launched between Malaysia and the US, and trading and logistics will become easier. Companies in Malaysia, especially in the manufacturing sector, will benefit greatly from these policies.
